Winner of Alabama's Veterinary Technician of the Year Award, 2025 & Fear Free Certified
Lorena first joined Crossroads back in October 2017 and later went on to complete the Jefferson State Veterinary Technician Program to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She now serves as the Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician and is also Fear Free Certified, allowing her to provide low-stress, compassionate care for pets during their visits.
In 2025, Lorena was honored as Alabama’s Veterinary Technician of the Year, recognized by the Alabama Veterinary Technician Association for her dedication and contributions to the profession.
At the clinic, Lorena is known for her calm presence, technical skills, and genuine care for both patients and clients. Whether she’s monitoring anesthesia, assisting in surgery, mentoring team members, or comforting a nervous pet, she brings both expertise and heart to every interaction.
Outside of work, Lorena enjoys gardening, going to the zoo and spending time with her own furry family—four dogs and one cat who always keep her on her toes.
