Meet Bekah, Crossroads Animal Hospital

Bekah grew up with 4 dogs and finally got her dream four-legged pet, a slightly stubborn, very handsome grey gelding. She now has 4 horses filling the pasture at home. Bekah worked in a therapeutic equine setting for 5 years as a CHA horseback riding instructor, group leader, and on the property team. Afterward, she pursued her dream to become an ACE personal fitness trainer. She trained independently for 2 years. From serving others with therapeutic horseback riding to helping people meet and achieve their health goals, Bekah has been in customer service her entire career.

Bekah’s passions outside of work are training her 2 year old filly, riding the other horses, snuggling with her hound and husky pups, feeding and scratching the cows on the family farm, working out, spending time with friends and family, and especially hunting with her husband. She loves to laugh and believes she needs to cuddle with every pet she meets!

Meet Allison, Crossroads Animal Hospital

Allison’s heart is for serving others. With an interest in health sciences, Allison worked as a physical therapy technician for several years. Meet Crystal, Crossroads Animal Hospital

After graduating from Moody High School in 2015, Crystal went on to attend Birmingham-Southern College as a collaborative and elementary education major. During her time in college, she cared for her aging childhood pets and through learning more about veterinary care for her pets, she developed an interest in caring for animals. Before beginning her senior year Crystal chose to withdraw from BSC, quit her job of seven years and get a job as a kennel technician. She had plans to become a veterinary technician one day. Crystal transferred her credits to Penn Foster’s Veterinary Technician program in 2019. At the same time the first clinic she worked for gave her the opportunity to start working as a vet assistant. Currently, Crystal loves working both as a client care representative and vet assistant. As she has matured and worked in many departments in the veterinary field, Crystal has most recently chosen to once again transfer her credits to become veterinary practice manager. Crystal is passionate in caring for geriatric patients and even rescues those in need. She has a senior cat named Karen who is blind. As well as a senior dog named Honey, rescued before being surrendered to a shelter. Her other dogs include twin-like boys, Alfred and Boagrt, and cats named Khloe and Diesel. Crystal hopes to become an avian owner one day and get a macaw. For now, she will focus on her studies as well as becoming Fear Free certified in both animal care and client care.
