Senior Pet Screening

We love our aging companions and want their senior years to be as healthy and happy as possible. The size and breed of your dog will have a lot to do with his life expectancy, but in general all dogs are considered a senior at age seven.

Your pet’s health needs change as your pet ages. As your pet ages, there are a variety of conditions and diseases they can develop. Your pet’s veterinary medical needs change as well. Wellness examinations, blood work, and dietary counseling all are important steps you can take toward keeping your senior pet healthy and happy.

Our senior wellness exams are specially designed for your older pet's good health. We recommend bi-annual exams along with senior screening as needed so that we can detect disease early hopefully to prevent more serious problems.
